Fast-Food Take-away in Queens Road

Update:  22nd February 2017

This planning application has been approved by Wyre Forest District Council.

At its February meeting, Wyre Forest District Council's Planning Committee was addressed by Town Councillor Rob Lloyd, who reported on the mixed response received by Labour councillors when they canvassed local opinion on this planning application.

One major condition attached to the permission was the satisfactory control of odours, on which a plan will have to be presented to the council before the business can be opened.

From your Labour Team:

Queens Road shop

"Despite previous local opposition, planning permission has been granted in the past for the same fast-food take-away use at this property.

However, difficulties about the installation of a flue to carry fumes out of the building prevented the previous permission being implemented. These difficulties may no longer exist, because they were based on the objections of a property owner to whose brickwork the flue would have had to be attached. The owner concerned has now moved house.

Your Labour Team will ask the opinions of residents in Queens Road and parts of Hanstone Road and Hermitage Way within the next 3 weeks, and, therefore, by the end of the first week of January. Or you can contact us if you are concerned."

Wyre Forest District Council reference number is 16/0708/FULL. See application details.
